Journal Two: Our first blog post

My name is Shaylee Campbell. My fun fact was that I have a twin sister, Jess, who goes to Owens of Toledo. I also have two other sisters Vosh, and Jenny. I graduated from Bucyrus High School. My parents live in Bucyrus currently with my dog named Lexie. I am going to Marion Osu to become a physical therapist or dental hygienist. I haven't really decided yet. I don't really want to go to school for eight years to become a physical therapist. I love to be around people and sports.

The book The House on Mango Street is very unique. I read about how Esperanza "X" expalins her family a little bit but not much. She also talks about her house that is out in the country but has a small yard and trees in front of it. I honestly don't get when shes talking to a lady and the lady says "you live there?". They are saying it like they are disgusted or a bad way. Then she talks about how her family says its temporary but then it is there for a while.

  1. It seems to me that the house must have a little bit of history to it for the women to ask her that type of way. History as in before they moved into the house.

  2. I agree with you about the lady, that's what I thought about it, and maybe the house might have history for the lady to be be having a tone of voice like she did.
